CFLS welcomes Benjamin Lang to our team, a passionate and attentive undergraduate who joins us as a Paralegal.
Born and raised in Mildura, Ben moved to Melbourne to pursue his aspirations for a career in the law. Starting his Bachelor of Laws at Victoria University in 2025, Ben has embraced every opportunity to broaden his understanding of the legal profession and gain experience beyond the university walls.
Ben’s interest in justice began long before law school. A lifelong fan of crime and superhero comics, he has always been drawn to stories centred around justice and helping those in need.
During his degree, Ben has engaged with a range of programs and legal centres, allowing him to gain practical experience across a variety of legal fields. An internship with JobWatch provided valuable insight into employment law, but more importantly, how to communicate with and help those who are often at their most vulnerable.
With a particular passion for oral advocacy and legal research, mooting has captured Ben’s interest since starting his degree. His participation in the 2026 Kirby Moot allowed him to further hone his speaking and advocacy skills while competing alongside some of the brightest law students from across the country.
Outside of work and study, Ben maintains his love of storytelling as well as a passion for digital design through 3d modelling and game development software. Though gaining a deep love for Melbourne since moving, he finds time to travel back to Mildura to relax among the river, roos, and the gum trees.
